It was odd at first. The idea of accusing strangers on the internet or defending yourself from a semi-fictional and semi-literal mob was surreal. Yet for the most part, I owned my role and did whatever it took to succeed. Two weeks later, I now have an excel sheet of my strategies for every role in the game.
I've had the pleasure of trying out Q Game's The Tomorrow Children last week during their Closed Beta. It was a bizarre experience overall, and I had only a few hours to spend with this post-apocalyptic multiplayer sandbox game. Not to mention I had to be awake at 3 in the morning as it was the … Continue reading Inside The Tomorrow Children’s Closed Beta
I got the privilege of trying out the much awaited Playstation VR last month, and from my hands-on experience I can safely say that the future of gaming is fast approaching.
I feel that while Syndicate did an amazing job in the introduction of the game, it still fell flat towards the end. I'm starting to think the Assassin's Creed series has a Sisyphus problem. The game, or even the trailer, gets you all hyped up and excited to marathon the whole thing only to bring you down shortly afterwards. Let's break it down:
Earlier this year I expressed my reluctance to get the latest Assassin's Creed game. But since I still consider it a staple game of mine, I got it on the release anyway. I haven't finished the game yet but it seems to me that Ubisoft has this weird pattern with their AC Series. A bad … Continue reading Thoughts so far on Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
It's been a whirlwind of emotion with Unity. One minute I'm on a high, the next I'm frustrated. It picks up. It slows down. It climaxes and it plateaus. It isn't the best Assassin's Creed game out there, but it will definitely be one of the most memorable ones. Albeit, it is for both the … Continue reading Assassin’s Creed: Unity | Final Thoughts
And the plot finally thickens. I admit I somewhat lost interest for this game over the holidays because it felt like it was going the same direction as the old Assassin's Creed games that starred Ezio. Find a killer, then another lead, then another, then get to the grand master. Turns out, there's a lot … Continue reading Assassin’s Creed | Progressive Reviews III
It's been awhile since I placed Far Cry 4 in my PS4's disk tray. Yes, I know I said that I did love the game in an instant when I first played it. Something just didn't feel right when I continued going through the next missions. It made me realize that it is good that … Continue reading Far Cry 4: Progressive Reviews II
I am a huge fan of the Game of Thrones series from HBO as well as A Song of Ice and Fire from which the television series is heavily based on. Every sudden death and every painful plot twist gives me satisfaction that I've rarely felt in many fictional works of all media formats. So … Continue reading First Impressions | Game of Thrones by Telltale Games
I was never interested in checking out the Far Cry series. Even when the name "Vaas" was coming out of everyone's mouths, I never really gave it attention. Too busy was I marveling in the world of Assassins, waiting for Devil May Cry's reboot, and mourning for the death of Cortana, that I paid no … Continue reading Far Cry 4: Progressive Reviews I
